Me about myself
SO:Communications was founded by me, Kerstin Mordant. I am a trained journalist and CIPR qualified communications professional with more than 20 years’ experience working in comms. Mainly in the public and third sector, in particular in the criminal justice field and health, but also supporting small and medium sized businesses in the private sector. Over the years I have built up a strong network of colleagues with different specialisms and expertise whose support I will draw on if required.
(For all the details please have a look at my LinkedIn profile…)
I have set up SO:Communications to be able to work with a range of clients and projects beyond the boundaries of a job description. I am curious about your space and your world, and should we get to work together, you will have my full commitment.
I strongly believe in communications that are sustainable, in particular in relation to their longevity. I am also an advocate of agile and open communications: talking about your story as it unfolds, truly engaging with your audience in two-way conversation, and remaining flexible about how you communicate along the way.
When I’m not ‘doing comms’ I can be found at my local bouldering wall together with my husband and youngest daughter. I’m a sea lover, nature addict, bookworm, and passionate about sustainability, mental wellbeing and calm spaces in an ever faster world. Starting SO:Communications has given me the flexibility to explore other areas of interest, and as part of that I am also a volunteer coach for Yes Futures, working with young people to help them develop confidence and self-belief.
