Communications is about connecting and building lasting relationships with your target audience – with your customers, followers, partners, employees. Different audiences require a different approach in tone, style, and channel, all depending on the outcome you are looking to achieve. Too much to think about?  I am experienced in writing for different purposes, audiences and channels and will be able to support you for one-off projects or long-term campaigns and initiatives and provide guidance on utilising content multiple times in multiple ways.

Strategy

In order to get to where you want to be, you need a road map. A press release to all and everyone is not always the best solution – sometimes it might be better to target a certain industry, to use direct communication with crucial stakeholders, to attend conferences as a speaker, or to really work on your social media presence.

Together we look at where you are now, where you want to be, and the resources you have available – and then decide which method, messages and channels might yield the best results for you. In all of this, I advocate agile communications whenever possible: to remain open and flexible to changes and adjust plans along the way based on feedback.

Mentoring

Sometimes all you need is a sounding board, an outside view and new input rather than employing someone to deliver the whole package. If that’s the case, I provide coaching and mentoring to individuals or smaller organisations to help you get set up in the right way or enable you to move forward with all the good comms work you are already doing.

Together we identify blockages and ways to overcome them, set realistic goals, and break them down into small achievable steps. I will be able to point you towards useful resources and be there as an accountability partner if you wish.
